Deep Relaxation Yoga Meditation

  1. Yoga Nidra is an expression widely used to denote the highest state of consciousness. Nidra translated into English means SLEEP.

  2. Yoga Nidra could be described as ‘concentrative meditation’ that focuses the attention on the breath, an image, and a series of self or external suggestions.

  3. Yoga Nidra, however, is an inner awareness, a movement of consciousness, rather than a deliberate auto-suggestion or hypnosis.

  4. There is a direct correlation between one's breath and one's state of the mind. Hence Yoga Nidra works best when a person is aware of the rhythm of breath.

  5. Beginners need to practice Yoga Nidra with the help of a an experienced teacher or you could use our Real Yoga NIDRA Audio CD as a guide.
